Wild Femme Boudoir: Welcome and Hello
Wild Femme Boudoir was born from a desire to create a truly inclusive space for all femmes to be fully seen in their truth. I wanted to create a space for all femmes - 2SLGBTQIA+ persons, SW’rs, and femmes of all body size - to express themselves as art and have their beauty, courage and heart reflected back to them. Boudoir is an incredible experience that can ignite us into showing up for ourselves in grander ways. It is an art form that allows for my clients to witness themselves in the truth of who they are. Stripped bare of all pretences, boudoir is a vulnerable space that allows for you to be truly seen. I think that’s all most of us want. To be seen without judgment. To be seen and accepted for the truth of who we are.
I’ve been a boudoir photographer for eight years, and I am eternally grateful for the studio where I built my photography chops, but it came time to move on. I wanted more freedom to co-create the art I wanted to make with my clients. I wanted control to ensure that the space I was providing felt safe and inclusive to all femmes. I desired the freedom to express myself, to use my art to make a stance, to align my work with my values. And so I created Wild Femme Boudoir.
I’m really quite excited for the adventure ahead. I’m eager to share my art with you, and should you feel so inclined, to making art with you. Boudoir is about more than taking sexy photos of yourself. Like much art, there is more going on beneath the image. Boudoir is about self-love and expression, it’s about fighting the patriarchy and puritanical systems, and standing up against misogyny and unrealistic beauty standards that hold so many of us back. Boudoir is about claiming your power, your sexuality and taking a stand for yourself. It is truly an incredible experience that holds the power to radically change your life if you allow it; the images you get are almost a bonus and the experience is where the real magic is.
