Ms. C on Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone

Thank you so much for coming to do a photoshoot with me! It was so lovely to have you in the studio - and to see you again!

Yes! You had done my friend and I’s make-up for our wedding and we just loved you and your work.

Awe thanks. I had a good time and am glad it’s led to us being able to take some stunning photos of both of you now as well. What made you decide to do a photoshoot?

My friend suggested that we step out of our comfort zone and do something fun andexciting!

Well, I hope we lived up to that today!

Absolutely. It was fun and kinda relaxing.

Love that! Can I ask what your favourite part of the experience was?

Being able to express myself in the photoshoot.

Mmmm yes!! Love. Sometimes people think boudoir is just about sexy photos, but I really try to make it an experience for femmes to feel truly seen and to create a space where they feel safe to fully express themselves. So I’m thrilled to know that was your experience. How did doing the shoot make you feel?

The photoshoot increased my confidence and self-image. Instead of picking out what I did not like with my body, when I saw the photos I looked at how confident I looked and how this would have a positive impact on myself in the future.

So good! Boudoir really is the gift (to self) that keeps on giving. I totally get that it can take a little courage to step outside the comfort zone and book your photoshoot, but like yourself, I always find that my clients are so so glad that they did. On that note, what advice would you give to other femmes considering doing a boudoir photoshoot?

Do not overthink it, have some fun, have some laughs and express yourself the way you want to, not for someone else like a partner but what makes you feel beautiful.

I could not have said that better myself! Boudoir should be all about you, not yet another space where we fall into people pleasing tendencies. This is your photoshoot, your space to self-express, your opportunity to be seen in the truth of who you are.

Well, I am thrilled you had such a great experience and are walking away with a greater sense of self and confidence…. as well as some pretty stunning photos if I may say so!
